Spirit of.....

What do you have a sprit of....? You could have a spirit of jealousey, bitterness, and unforgiveness. These are the common ones these are the easy ones to point out .... Everyone at some point struggles with these spirits...

But how about the things that you dont think are bad? Like the spirit of guilt... How can guilt be a bad thing, isn't guilt when you feel bad for someone because you care for them? Not exactly, guilt is tricky, the devil is tricky... He can he make you feel bad for something that isn't your fault, he can keep you trapped in something that you dont want stay in becasue of guilt... Guilt can bring depression which leads to an unhealthy mind which leads to an unhealthy body which leads to other things...

Dont get it twisted though, guilt is correct when you do something you werent suppose to do and the outcome makes you feel guilty or if you could of done something but was too selfish to do... these are the right reasons of guilt BUT if you truly did do what you could of done and in good faith then you have nothing to feel guilty about...

This all comes down to guarding your heart and having the wisdom to distinguish between what is real and the fake... If someones kows they can pull the guilt trip on you to get what they want then they are taking advantage of you... Guard your heart...

The devil will use whatever you are most strong at and twist it around, for this case it would be... A caring spirit into a guilty spirit....

Make Time

How can you know GOD better? Read his word, pray, listen for his voice, worship him. Notice that all of these things require time. In fact, improving any relationship with other people or with GOD requires Time.

However, far too many people find themselves too busy to spend any time getting to know God better. They've filled their calendar with pursuits of money, wealth, success, and status. However, as Solomon discovers in Ecclesiastes 2:1-11, all of these pursuits are meaningless. Solomon built many houses, vineyards, gardens, and parks; he had many, many slaves and countless pieces of gold and silver, and he was the most prestigious man ever to live in Jerusalem. Indeed, he could buy anything his heart desired. However, Solomon comes to the realization that all of these things are worth nothing in the perspective of eternity: Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun (Ecclesiastes 2:11).

Therefore, don't worry about any of these earthly things; instead, seek to know God better (see Matthew 6:25-34).

If all these earthly things are hindering your relationship with God, alter your schedule: get rid of some things so that you can spend time knowing God better.

A letter was sent for my mom from some church that she doesnt even attend, it wasnt real mail so i opened and read it and it had this in it and i felt like it could help someone including myself when things arent going the way we want them to go... Stay strong, the end will be worth it!

GOD does not accept His servants to demonstrate a weak mind, with an intent to fail, and to be fearful of hard work. Danger and hardship are a part of life for those who follow GOD's way. Those who think that by following GOD, He will make the road easy, He will trim all the thorns, He will run the enemy away, they will be sadly mistaken. Those who dream that by following GOD they will inherit many benefits such as luxury and leisure in life, always have servants and receive respect, they are also wrong. We are told to "go out into the world like sheep among wolves" - Matthew 10:16

FEAR IS THE OPPOSITE OF FAITH

My own Light

As Christians people are watching you whether you like it or not and at a closer radar. As soon as you do something wrong, they will say "Ha, look at what your doing and your suppose to be a Christian" so therefore I cannot do all the things i use to do. (Which is cool -but i will fall short of perfection by a lonnnnnnngggg shot-) So I was wondering, will i lose some friends because of this?

So I decided to text one of my friends about it and he said to me "Once Light shines into darkness it becomes Light, People (Friends, Family, Strangers) have no choice but to see my Light now, either they will see it or they wont and the ones that cant see it will fade away because the things we once had in common wont be there anymore." This all made so much sense. He couldnt of gave a better metaphor then that. Luckly for me this is one of the friends that see and seeks the same Light that i am looking at.

My own Wisdom

Last week my friend texted me about a situation about a girl that he hasnt heard from her in 3 years and out of nowhere texts him and asked him to call her. So i call him and we begin to talk about JESUS, not even talking about the girl yet... He tells me that one day he got up really early and went out to his old middle school track and started running, as he was running it started to rain a little bit and the sun started to seep through the clouds. At that moment he experienced his first break through, GOD was saying hello, this was the first time he had seen him, he fell to his knees and just wept in the presence of his Creator. Thanking him for his mercy and grace... I was so happy for him, the image that he described was out of a movie, things like that only happen in movies right? Not this time, this one was real...

Well after that we begin to talk discuss the sitation about the girl. In his text he told me that he still Loves the girl even after 3 years of no contact. But that was the problem, he loves her more then he loves JESUS, she was his GOD. One cannot truely know how to love until they love JESUS first and most.

Take this how you want but if you want love, lack love, cant find love, recieved love in the wrong places, LOVE JESUS first before you Love anyone else and everything else will fall into place.

My own Matthew

One of my friends has been through alot in the past couple of years. His "luck" just seems to not be working. The devil has been going at him hard. This friend in particularly was one of the ones that i thought would be the hardest to lead to JESUS, he always had a vision but was always blurred by the distractions of the world. Well this friend went to church 2 weeks ago for the first time in a looonnngggg time. So afterwards he calls me and i begin sharing my own testimony, after about 30 minutes of talking back and forth he stubbled upon a picture in his room and says, "I dont know where this picture came from but its a black and white picture of just a straight road with nothing around it" and instantly i say thats GOD! thats GOD saying this is the way, this is the only way, there is no other way. Black and white for plain and simple, this is the way. Just road and dirt meaning no distractions, no one but me and you.

My own Corinthians

Me and my girl friend had a long talk one day while i was taking her home to her house. It was a good conversation, i did moslty listening though. i dropped her off and i went home. A few hours later she texted me and said that she told her brother and sister that she Loves them. i told her "Cool!, I Love you Babe" this was going to be the first time i was going to say these words to her. i paused...... Then i heard Jesus say Faith, then i thought to myself, say it so it will come to past, then i thought, say it so you can hold yourself accountable. So i pressed the send button. Then i got a =) and =* reply. A few hours later she calls and says hey can you check the calendar. On May 5th she wrote in her journal that she hopes that i start Loving her in 57 days, 57 days would of been in July which she thought was too soon for me and decided to add about 30 days to it. This is when she came up with 82 days. The day i said "I Love You" to my girlfriend was July 26, 2009. Exactly 82 days from May 5th journal entry.

We all have the power to speak death and life with our tongue, we have the power to declare wealth or whatever it is that we want over our lives. In this instance it was Love.

My own Genesis

The beginning of my journey begins at age 23. Everything around me at the time was pointing towards JESUS. My best friend back home just rededicated his life to the Lord. My new roommate of which i just moved in with in January of 2007 was raised in a church and bought me my first Bible. One of my coworkers where i spend about 8 hours with Monday thourgh Friday turns out to be a youth pastor. Little did he know how i use to watch his actions and i can honestly say he never got rude or hasty towards a customer, displaying the Patience in him. Lastly, the person that i spoke to most just dedicated her life to JESUS also. Now more then ever JESUS was everywhere for me, at home, at work and even in my free time. I got baptised on April 26th, 2007 at age 23. The number 23 in the bible means death or extinction, at age 23 the old me died and the new me was born.
